First Look at the Patta x Nike Air Max 90 “Waves” Collaboration

A follow-up to the pair’s 2021 Air Max 1 “Waves” colorways.

 Patta and Nike continue to build on their legacy of collaborations with the official unveiling of two new Air Max 90 “Waves” colorways. These releases follow the success of their Air Max 1 “Waves” series from 2021 and arrive as part of a continued exploration of wave-inspired design language. Taking inspiration from that earlier collection, the Air Max 90s feature a reimagined mudguard in a bold wave shape, wrapping around the base of the sneaker in black to create a sense of motion and fluidity.

Each pair is constructed with a grey textile upper, contrasted by vibrant accents that distinguish the two editions—one in “Sapphire” blue and the other in “Cyber” green. Patta branding appears on the tongue, the lateral window, and the insoles, while a lenticular Air Max logo on the heel cleverly shifts between “Air Max” and “Patta” depending on the viewing angle. Nike has also equipped each sneaker with a custom Patta-branded box, adding to the exclusivity and attention to detail that the collaboration is known for.

A preview of the “Cyber” green version was recently provided by Nigerian artist Odumodublvck, who wore the sneakers along with co-branded apparel that’s expected to launch alongside the shoes. This hint at an accompanying apparel capsule suggests the drop is more than just a sneaker release—it’s a full expression of Patta’s and Nike’s creative synergy.

The Patta x Nike Air Max 90 “Waves” in “Sapphire” and “Cyber” are officially scheduled to release on June 24, 2025, via Nike SNKRS and select global retailers. Both pairs will retail for $150 USD, offering fans a bold new chapter in one of streetwear’s most respected collaborations.
