The latest retro release of the classic model begins with the support of one of Nike’s longest-running collaboration partners.
fragment design and Nike’s long-anticipated collaboration on the Air Zoom Spiridon has officially dropped, with two distinct colorways becoming available on December 5, 2024. This partnership, which has been teased by both sneaker leakers and Hiroshi Fujiwara over the past year, marks the return of the Air Zoom Spiridon model, following a hiatus since its earlier 2010s releases. The two newly released colorways feature a mix of classic and bold styles: one is a white mesh base accented with a navy blue lateral Swoosh and a black suede mudguard, while the other presents a sleek all-black design with a tonal lateral Swoosh. Both pairs feature special branding details beneath a translucent portion of the outsole and include tooling code-inspired touches on their outer halves and heel tabs, a signature design element of fragment design collaborations that has previously appeared on the fragment design x Nike Dunk and Travis Scott x fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Low.
This collaboration not only marks the return of the Air Zoom Spiridon but also signals the beginning of an extensive retro cycle for the model, with additional collaborations, such as one with UNDEFEATED, already teased. The release adds to the anticipation surrounding this classic silhouette’s revival. The collaboration is available at select retailers, including HBX, and is priced at $170 USD.
