Honoring the majestic theaters of Paris.
Images of the upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low “City of Cinema” have surfaced, showcasing its design inspired by Paris's grand theaters. The sneaker features a velvet-like base with yellowed cracked leather overlays, mimicking the historic architecture, and a plush maroon velvet tongue and collar reflecting the theaters' luxurious interiors.
The shoe includes a special Nike SB logo on the tongue and insoles, with a black and yellow gradient Swoosh, and rests on a yellow and brown midsole, representing the theaters' strong build. Recent leaks reveal updates from the original design: the overlays now match the underlays, gold Swooshes are replaced by black ones with white stitching, and maroon laces replace the mustard yellow ones. Additionally, the woven tongue tag has shifted from maroon to dark brown, the outsole has changed from translucent to brown, and the midsole now has a plain off-white finish instead of stained detailing. The updated sockliner graphic completes the new look. The “City of Cinema” is set to release on December 14 via Nike SNKRS and select skate shops.
