Jerry Lorenzo revealed in a recent interview that both parties had agreed not to extend their contract, which was set to expire this month.

It had been nearly five years since Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God announced its partnership with adidas, a move that immediately captured the attention of the fashion and sneaker worlds. However, it wasn’t until 2023, following Fear of God’s first runway show, that products from the collaboration became available to the public. Over the years, the partnership introduced multiple footwear and apparel silhouettes, blending Lorenzo’s distinct design language with adidas’ global platform.

A recent interview with Complex revealed that the partnership was officially ending this year. Lorenzo confirmed that his contract would expire at the end of December and that both parties had mutually agreed not to renew it. While many designs were released, none resonated with sneakerheads quite like the Nike Air Fear of God 1 from 2018. The collaboration also left a significant mark on adidas Basketball, influencing their approach to sneakers and apparel in 2022. As the partnership concludes, the industry and fans are left anticipating where Jerry Lorenzo will take Fear of God next and what new directions the brand might explore.
