The teal collaboration has "For the City" hits inside the collar and shaggy suede uppers.
Jordan Brand has been attempting to increase interest surrounding the shape by lending it to various collaboration partners while the Nike Air Ship vintage era has struggled to connect with the sneaker community. The Air Ship has returned to our attention in a new offering that is reinterpreted by Corporate Got 'Em after hinting a project with Awake NY and releasing a black and white installment with A Ma Maniére.
The lifestyle model of hoops has been updated by Matt Tomamichel's Midwest retail network with a plethora of unique elements. Instead of using a full leather upper, he opts for a base made up of teal shaggy suede and leather panels. The lateral heels feature white stitching with the store's name on them instead of the typical "Nike" heel branding with "Got 'Em" spell-outs. In a white typeface, the words "For the City" are also stitched on the collar's internal sides to signify the crew's commitment to putting the needs of the community first.
On September 8, the retailer's physical stores and online presence will both offer the Corporate Got 'Em x Jordan Air Ship. A SNKRS launch is not necessary right now.
