Contrary to the barefoot sneaker trend, this model features a bulky design with Vibram soles.

After being unveiled at sacai’s SS25 runway show last summer, the sacai x Nike Zegamadome finally released in three distinct colorways. This collaboration further strengthened sacai’s reputation for pushing the boundaries of footwear design with its signature deconstructed aesthetic, incorporating bold, eye-catching details. The standout colorway was a multicolor model that drew inspiration from industrial design, blending shades of gray and black with bright yellow accents. Additionally, sacai offered more subdued options, including a tonal off-white variant that combined titanium white with beige suede and natural rubber outsoles, as well as an all-black version that provided a sleek and minimalistic look.

The sneakers featured a dynamic combination of suede, rubber, and fabric panels, contributing to their rugged, work-boot-like appearance. Key design elements included a protruding heel bumper, a multi-faceted lacing system, and prominent eyestay covers that added depth and dimension to the shoe’s structure. The sole was equipped with Vibram technology, providing optimal traction, while the ZoomX cushioning from Nike ensured the sneaker remained lightweight and comfortable. This collaboration was a Japan-exclusive release, set for May 9, and was available through raffles both online and in-person at sacai stores.
