Nike is bringing back the Air Force 1 Low “What The LA,” reviving the fan-favourite city-inspired colourway that first debuted in 2019 alongside the “What The NYC” edition. Rather than drawing inspiration from past sneaker collaborations, the design celebrates Los Angeles by combining colours and materials influenced by the city’s rich sporting heritage, creating a bold yet distinctive take on the iconic silhouette.
The upper features a mix of premium suede, leather and glossy overlays, paired with contrasting Swooshes and speckled midsoles to showcase a variety of textures and finishes. Purple and gold nod to the Lakers, while blue, red, black and metallic accents reference other iconic Los Angeles sports teams, giving the sneaker its unmistakable multi-themed identity.
Subtle “Los Angeles” branding on the heel and insoles reinforces the city-inspired concept without relying on official team logos. By paying tribute to the city’s basketball, baseball, hockey and streetwear culture as a whole, the “What The LA” stands out as a celebration of Los Angeles itself, making its long-awaited return one of the most notable revivals in Nike’s popular “What The” series.
