Featuring a new woven design, scheduled to launch by the end of November.
Jean Paul Gaultier, sacai, and Nike are set to release a second edition of the Waffles by the end of the year. Building upon last year's three-party collaboration, the new Waffle maintains the stacked style, abstract charm, and eye-catching details of its predecessor but introduces notable material differences.
The two color options include a vibrant mix of hues reminiscent of the original sacai x Nike LDV Waffle Daybreak from 2019 and a more airy version in white and grey tones. The woven upper, resembling the popular Air Woven, incorporates various textures with a combination of woven construction, textile, leather, and suede detailing. The design features doubled-up Swooshes, tongues, eyestays, laces, and a VaporWaffle-inspired super-size midsole.
Although the style surfaced in early 2023, Jean Paul Gaultier's involvement was revealed at the official announcement. The shoes are set to be exclusively released on the JPG webstore on November 22 at noon CET, with the retail price yet to be disclosed.
