Hiroshi Fujiwara Reveals Unreleased Air Jordan 1 High ’85 in “UNC” Colorway.

Hiroshi Fujiwara, a legendary figure in the world of sneakers and streetwear, has once again stirred excitement among sneaker enthusiasts. Just days ago, he was spotted via Instagram account @naoki__muramatsu wearing a never-before-seen pair of Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “UNC.” The sneaker serves as a nostalgic nod to Michael Jordan’s college basketball days at the University of North Carolina, reflected through its signature powder blue and white colorway.

This particular version stays true to the original 1985 silhouette, a detail that collectors and purists value highly. With premium leather construction and a high-cut design, the shoe features powder blue overlays on the mudguard, collar, eyestays, heel, and Nike Swoosh. These are offset by crisp white panels on the toe box, tongue, and midfoot, staying faithful to the iconic UNC theme.

Fujiwara’s early reveal has added significant hype to the silhouette, joining a wave of highly anticipated ’85 releases such as the “Bred,” “Chicago,” and “Royal” editions. All of these are part of Jordan Brand’s broader strategy to honor the Air Jordan 1’s upcoming 40th anniversary. While Nike has yet to confirm a release date, the “UNC” colorway is already generating buzz as one of the standout retros potentially dropping in the near future.
