The new silhouette has resurfaced in its “Black/Light Bone” colorway.
The Air Jordan 1 and the Air Jordan 4 are both iconic retro silhouettes once worn by Michael Jordan on NBA courts. Today, they are positioned differently: the Air Jordan 1 has evolved into a franchise with numerous iterations, such as the platform-soled Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn and the sport-ready Air Jordan 1 Golf Mule. In contrast, the Air Jordan 4 has remained true to its original form, though reimagined in various colorways and materials.
This is set to change with the arrival of the Air Jordan 4 RM (Restomod) later this year. Initially rumored as a one-off collaboration with Nigel Sylvester, a first look at an in-line pair from EldenMonitors has surfaced, noting it is one of eight pairs on the way, including two collaborative colorways. The preview reveals a sneaker that retains the Air Jordan 4’s traditional sole unit but features a low-top build with a wrap-around cage and mesh overlay at the eyestays.
Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the Air Jordan 4 is set to release its first proper takedown model — the Air Jordan 4 RM. Recent previews have given us a detailed look at the sneaker in its “Black/Light Bone” colorway. This two-tone design features a mix of suede, leather, and mesh, with a Jumpman-covered tongue tag and tonal Nike Air branding, plus a small Jumpman logo on the heel. An official reveal is awaited, with the sneaker expected to release this summer via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $150 USD.
