Grunge influences take center stage in the duo’s latest collection.

BAPE and mastermind JAPAN joined forces once again for “mastermind A BATHING APE 19TH,” marking the 19th installment of the two Japanese brands’ long-standing partnership. The collection embraced a “Vintage x Grunge” concept, combining classic vintage aesthetics with modern streetwear influences.

Throughout the collection, BAPE’s iconic STA logo was paired with mastermind’s signature SKULL motif, creating a design language that reflected the identities of both brands. This combination was particularly evident in the denim pieces, where patchwork details and faded washes gave the garments a worn-in, vintage-inspired appearance.

The collection also featured an argyle knit cardigan that blended preppy styling with streetwear elements, while the crewneck sweatshirt and T-shirt incorporated distressed finishes and sun-faded treatments for a grunge-inspired look. Completing the lineup was a limited-edition BAPEX watch, which served as the standout accessory in the collection.

The “mastermind A BATHING APE 19TH” collection was released on August 15, 2026, through selected BAPE retail locations and the brand’s online store.
