First Glimpse at the FC Barcelona-Inspired Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low Protro

Nike has been steadily rolling out Kobe Bryant-themed releases throughout the year, giving fans a variety of options—whether they’re looking to play on the court or simply pay tribute to the basketball legend off it. Among the most accessible are Kobe-themed takes on the classic Air Force 1 Low, a silhouette that’s seen numerous reinterpretations under the Kobe banner.

Joining the lineup is a new collaborative edition created in partnership with FC Barcelona, a football club Kobe deeply admired. This upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low Protro features a striking “Persian Violet” upper with a snakeskin-inspired texture. Black leather details appear on the Swooshes, heel tab, tongue, lining, and laces, while Kobe’s signature and the Sheath logo are prominently placed on the heel. FC Barcelona branding appears throughout the shoe—including on the tongue, dubrae, and sockliner—further cementing the connection.

While an official release date has yet to be announced by either Nike or FC Barcelona, the sneaker is expected to launch later this year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. The pair will retail for $150 USD.
