The exact origin of the pair is unclear, but the presence of the "FA21" tooling code on the midsole suggests that it is a discarded sample.

Whether you're a fan or not, the prolific collaboration between Travis Scott and Nike/Jordan Brand has spanned nearly a decade, resulting in a multitude of highly sought-after releases.

Among the unreleased samples, a noteworthy one has emerged—an alternate version of the Travis Scott x fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Low. While the pair's origin remains uncertain, a significant detail confirming its status as a sample is the "FA21" tooling code on the midsole. This scrapped prototype, distinct from the retail pair released in August 2021, features several differences, including the absence of sail accents, a more prominent use of blue on the overlays, all-black Swooshes, text hits on midsoles and quarter panels, lack of embossed logos on the heel (though co-branded heel tabs remain), and the omission of extra embellishments on the tongue.

Notably, this isn't the first unreleased sample from the Scott/fragment/Air Jordan 1 Low collaboration, as fragment design's Hiroshi Fujiwara was seen with a mostly white sample in September 2022. While this particular version may never hit the market, you can explore detailed images above and on-foot photos below.
