This year marked the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, and Jordan Brand continued to celebrate the milestone with a series of exciting releases and collaborations. Among them, the upcoming fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black/White” stood out as one of the most highly anticipated drops. The sneaker first surfaced when Hiroshi Fujiwara was spotted wearing an unreleased pair earlier this year, confirming rumors that the collaboration was real.
The design showcases a timeless black-and-white color blocking, complete with midsole text, Union LA’s signature stitched collar, and fragment design’s lightning bolt logo stamped at the lateral heel. Updated in-hand images later revealed a white version of the logo, adding a touch of contrast to the monochrome palette. Co-branded detailing can also be found on the sockliner and midsole, emphasizing the collaborative nature of the release.
The fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black/White” was expected to arrive next spring via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, priced at $200 USD.
