The color scheme debuted in 1999 and is set to make its inaugural return with a retro release.

Nike caters to both old and new Dunk enthusiasts by reintroducing classic and limited-edition colorways from the '90s. According to a report from Complex's Brendan Dunne, Nike's Sportswear division plans to revive several Dunk Low CO.JP series in 2024, including the "Ultraman," which originally dropped in '99.

The 2011 VNTG collection featured a "Metallic Silver" and "Varsity Red" colorway inspired by the Japanese sci-fi character Ultraman, but the original pair has never officially retro-released. While leaked images of the 2024 pair haven't surfaced yet, it's expected to retain its throwback design with bold red toe boxes, quarters, and collars, complemented by muted gray Swooshes and overlays. The midsoles will be crisp white, sitting atop a full-length gray sole.

The recently unveiled "Ultraman" pair follows the "Reverse Curry" release, staying true to the original "Metallic Silver" overlays and "Varsity Red" leather base. Release details are yet to be disclosed, so stay tuned for updates, as it's likely to hit shelves in the coming weeks.
