An in-depth look of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro "Reverse Grinch"

This holiday season, the legendary "Grinch" flip will finally be available.

Images of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro "Reverse Grinch" up close have appeared. This court-ready, holiday-inspired hue will debut as part of Nike's holiday catalogue as it prepares to relaunch Kobe's signature starting on Kobe Day next month. These are scheduled to go on sale for $180 USD on December 18 through Nike SNKRS and a few other stores as of this writing.

Few signature lines in the world of basketball shoes can match the tenure of the late Kobe Bryant with Nike. Despite its absence from mainstream releases in recent years, many NBA stars have been photographed wearing various versions from the "Black Mamba." However, things are about to change as Nike announced that Kobe Day 2023, which falls on August 24, will mark the official relaunch of its Kobe line. The long-awaited debut of the "Reverse Grinch," which was first noticed by Lakers player Anthony Davis, has been predicted to upend things this year.

With the exception of the laces, tongue branding and Swooshes, the Kobe 6 Protro's renowned 'Grinch' hue is reversed in the 'Reverse Grinch'. Hypebeast named this colorway as the finest Christmas shoe of all time last year. The upper has a scaly texture and follows the design of its green forerunner, while the Swooshes on either side add black contrast. The laces and Kobe insignia on the tongue are given a signature neon green tint to finish the design.
