A closer look at "The Powerpuff Girls" Nike SB Dunk Low "Bubbles"

Arriving over the holidays.

The third colorway of the The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low "Blossom" and "Buttercup" collaborations has been announced by Nike. For the holiday release later this year, the eagerly awaited "Bubbles" joins the other two hues. The collection draws influence from Craig McCracken's well-known animated television series The Powerpuff Girls, which debuted in 1998. 

Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, three girls who were the product of their father, Professor Utonium's brilliant invention, were the main characters of the show. Every one of the girls has a unique superpower. While Buttercup is extremely strong and skilled in combat, Blossom can control ice, and Bubbles can use sonic screams to interact with animals. The trio, who coexist peacefully in Townsville, serve as the protagonists of a heroine story.

This Christmas season, Nike SB has teamed up with the popular cartoon series The Powerpuff ladies to pay homage to each of the ladies' unique looks and distinctive personalities. To complement Bubbles' distinctive appearance, "Bubbles" has a colour scheme that includes the shades of blue chill, deep royal blue, and energetic pink. Similar to the previous two colorways, the upper is made of blue leather with a snakeskin-like pattern. To match Bubbles' blonde hair, yellow laces and a Swoosh emblem are added. A pair of mesmerising eyes follow close behind. As a tribute to the 1990s TV show, the sneaker has reflective trims, co-branded tongues, and comic graphic insoles.

On December 14, look for the $135 USD The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low 'Bubbles' sneakers at select shops and online at Nike.
