Yachty first wore the shoes during his performance at Coachella in 2024.
At Coachella in 2024, Lil Yachty made a memorable impression not only by bringing a lifesize boat on stage but also by debuting a vibrant new Nike Air Force 1 Low colorway. The sneaker featured bold patent leather panels in a striking mix of green, yellow, and red hues, a notable shift from Yachty’s previous AF1 design, which was a more understated all-white silhouette with navy accents. This colorful edition, officially named “Lucky Green/Mystic Red/University Gold,” pays homage to the golden era of early-to-mid 2000s Air Force 1s and is believed to also celebrate Yachty’s cultural roots.
The sneaker incorporates unique branding that ties back to Yachty’s collective, Concrete Boys, with their signature figure stamped on the lateral heel, along with “IT’S US” lettering on the tongue tag and additional logos on the heel tab and special packaging. These details add a personal and meaningful touch to the release, elevating it beyond just another collaboration. Over the past year, fans have seen previews and on-foot looks teasing the release, building anticipation ahead of its official launch.
Finally, the Lil Yachty x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Lucky Green” was officially unveiled with all its patent leather color blocking prominently displayed. The sneaker was scheduled to drop on May 22 through Nike SNKRS and select retailers, carrying a retail price of $130 USD. This release marks a vibrant and culturally significant addition to both Lil Yachty’s and Nike’s footwear lineups, combining bold design with meaningful branding that reflects the artist’s identity and style.
