Global music icon Bad Bunny deepened his collaboration with adidas Originals through the “Gazelle City Series,” a tribute to Puerto Rico that followed his record-breaking success and strong connection to his roots. The collection launched alongside his hometown residency, “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí,” which ran from July 11 to September 14 and featured 30 shows.
The series celebrated locations across the island beyond the typical tourist spots, transforming them into symbolic and meaningful sneaker designs. Each of the three colorways represented a distinct Puerto Rican place and story.
“El Yunque” was done in forest green, honoring the island’s tropical rainforest and its natural beauty. “Santurce” arrived in bold orange, reflecting the area’s influence as a cultural and artistic hub. Lastly, “Cabo Rojo” featured a striking pink tone inspired by the region’s pink salt flats and unique ecosystem. The campaign imagery, which included Puerto Rican elders, reinforced the emotional message of the residency’s title: a deep love for the island and a desire to never leave.
