A tribute to the 20th anniversary of the first-ever Air Jordan collaboration.
In 2005, UNDEFEATED made history as Jordan Brand’s first-ever collaborator, introducing a military-inspired Air Jordan 4 that was limited to just 72 pairs. Over the years, this ultra-rare sneaker has become one of the most coveted Air Jordan releases, often fetching five-figure sums on the resale market. Its unique combination of deep green, black, and orange hues, along with its removable Velcro Jumpman patch, cemented its status as a grail within the sneaker community.
Now, to celebrate its 20th anniversary, the UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 is set to return in 2025. Early reports confirm that the colorway will stay true to the original, featuring a deep green upper accented by black and orange details. However, one notable change has surfaced—this reissue will feature Nike Air branding on the heel instead of the Jumpman logo found on the 2005 version. Rumors suggest that a second version with the original Jumpman heel branding may also be released, though this has yet to be confirmed.
A first in-hand look at the sneaker reveals that the signature removable Velcro patch remains intact, but instead of the classic Jumpman logo, it now reveals a “JORDAN RARE AIR” callout. This subtle update adds a fresh touch while preserving the sneaker’s legacy. With the Air Jordan 4 currently experiencing a resurgence in popularity, thanks to recent hits like the “Bred Reimagined” and “Industrial Blue” colorways, the return of this legendary collaboration comes at the perfect time.
As of now, no official release date has been announced, but the pair is expected to drop by the end of 2025 through Nike SNKRS and UNDEFEATED. Sneakerheads and collectors alike will want to stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
