Yuto Horigome, who is regarded as one of the top international skateboarding talents, has been chosen by Nike and the Nike SB team to work on his own footwear project. The gold medalist from the Olympics in Tokyo in 2021 has added his touch to the Nike SB Dunk Low, and preliminary photographs of the pair have just come to our attention.
Horigome summons a selection of neutral tones to dress his sneakers for this endeavour. The exteriors of the toe boxes, tongues, and quarter panels are left uncolored, and they are surrounded with muted grey Swooshes and overlays made of smooth leather and supply suede. Under the Nike SB mark on the tongue, the name of the Japanese skater takes the place of the typical shoe silhouette, and the lateral heels are inscribed with a cross-feather symbol. Dusty pink is subtly added to the raised areas of the heel, with brown embellishments running through the collars. The bottoms are finished with an all-brown paint job, while the midsoles are created with a crisp white finish.
The skateboarder's collaboration will go on sale for $130 USD on August 16.
