The Nike Air Max 1 'Sofvi' is inspired by Japanese vinyl toys.

Arriving in a collectibles-inspired shoe box.
The Air Max 1 is Nike's iconic design, and it never sleeps. The iconic trainer has been sighted in a variety of styles throughout 2023, from corduroy-covered pairs to "Big Bubble" hues from 1986. It now sports a different distinctive concept thanks to its recently released "Sofvi" hue.
Its unique presentation is supported by intricacy on everything from the translucent outsole to the shoe box, taking design cues from rare Japanese soft vinyl toys. First, the upper combines a white leather base with translucent white and mustard brown synthetic overlays. Each side is illuminated by chrome Swooshes, and the leather mudguard is covered in electric red to match the lining. The heel logo is covered in maroon paint, while the tongue hit features a red and gold back-and-forth pattern. At the bottom of the left shoe, "Nike Air Max 1" writing is written in Japanese. A transparent outsole supports the sneaker. In other places, a vintage image covers the sockliner. On the left sneaker, it says "Nike" in Japanese, while on the right, it has the standard Air Max branding. The pair is completed by a special shoe box with the graphic that is reminiscent of packaging for other collectibles, additional Japanese writing, and a window for the shoes.
The Nike Air Max 1 "Sofvi" has not yet received a release date announcement from the Swoosh. You can expect it to retail for $160 USD this autumn in women's sizes through Nike SNKRS and a few other stores.
