The sneaker features imprints of "Always Go Forward" and "Do Not Lean On The Doors."

Jordan Brand's Wings initiative has teamed up with 138 local students from New York City to design a special edition of the Air Jordan 1 Mid, paying tribute to the hardworking MTA workers who keep the city running smoothly. Collaborating with students from other cities like Charlotte, Los Angeles, Portland, Chicago, and Philadelphia, the design process was a collective effort. The resulting sneaker showcases a two-toned gray silhouette featuring the city's subway lines throughout, with a reflective Swoosh in the center and a speckled outsole and sock lining. Messages of gratitude, including “Thank You For All You Do,” “Always Go Forward,” and “Do Not Lean On The Doors,” adorn various parts of the shoe, while the MTA lettering appears on the back of the heel.

Available exclusively in grade school, pre-school, and toddler sizes, the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Subway” will be priced at $125, $85, and $70 respectively. Scheduled for release on May 15, these sneakers will be available on Nike's official website and exclusively in Jordan stores located in New York City.
