Size?, a UK-based shop, is renowned for working with numerous footwear manufacturers to create rare, sought-after pairs. This has featured styles for 2023 including the impending peach-flavored 990v3 and the New Balance 1906R, which is minty-fresh. Now, as part of its preview event for Fall/Winter 2023, size? has disclosed that an exclusive pair of Nike Air Max 1s is on the way. Prior to its September 29 release, size? has now displayed its mixed material build.

The OG "Big Bubble" from the first Air Max 1 has made a comeback, making the Air Max 1 stand out throughout the year in nostalgic styles. In preparation for fall, the silhouette has been shown off in a brown and grey colouring. Its design is inspired by Nike's early 2000s "Considered" line, an initiative that focused on the use of recyclable and less harmful materials. Overlays in leather grey are contrasted with a base in brown hairy suede. While the mudguard makes use of a corduroy finish, a darker brown colour occurs at the rough suede Swooshes. The tongue introduces hemp into the mix, and the heel's debossed Air Max logo completes the design.
