Blending motorsport-inspired aesthetics with carbon fiber detailing, the classic runner races into Summer 2026 with a bold new look.

Nike is blending sneaker culture with motorsport-inspired design through the upcoming Nike Air Max 90 “Racing”. Inspired by the sleek and aggressive styling of high-performance sports cars, the classic runner arrives with a clean “White/University Red” color scheme and subtle automotive-inspired detailing throughout the silhouette.

The sneaker features a crisp combination of white leather and breathable mesh across the upper, while light grey suede overlays add texture around the toe and eyestay areas. Black leather mudguards and side Swooshes create a sharp contrast, enhancing the shoe’s streamlined and aerodynamic appearance.

Adding to the racing theme, Nike incorporates carbon fiber-inspired textures within the mudguard branding window as a nod to modern sports car construction. Inside the shoe, bold “90” graphics on the insoles mimic the numbering commonly seen on race cars, while vibrant University Red accents appear on the tongue, Air Max branding, and heel badge for an energetic finishing touch.

By combining timeless Air Max 90 design elements with subtle motorsport influences, the “Racing” edition delivers a bold yet wearable take on the iconic silhouette.
