Expected to arrive sometime between February and March 2026.
McDonald’s was reportedly preparing to mark a major pop culture milestone with a renewed collaboration alongside Pokémon. According to PokeBeach, the rumored Happy Meal promotion was set to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, aligning with Pokémon Day on February 27, 2026, and expected to run through March in the United States.
While official card details had not been revealed, fans anticipated a familiar format featuring a small booster pack with one holofoil and several non-holo reprints. Past anniversary releases fueled speculation, especially after the larger 25th-anniversary set and the hype surrounding a limited Pikachu promo previously released in Japan.
With Pokémon Company International typically limiting special alternate art releases due to overwhelming demand, the collaboration was seen as a rare moment for collectors. Overall, the rumored partnership highlighted a blend of nostalgia and modern excitement as Pokémon approached its 30-year legacy.
