The Air Jordan 3 “Seoul” first released seven years ago, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Since its debut, the colorway has become highly sought after, fetching thousands of dollars on the secondary market. Jordan Brand revisited the design in 2020 with a limited release in women’s sizes. Now, in 2025, the iconic sneaker is set to return with a new “Seoul 2.0” version, teased recently for the first time.
The “Seoul 2.0” update gives the classic design an aged look, with the white sole unit showing noticeable yellowing and the addition of a grey outsole. The elephant print mudguard and heel counter have also been altered, shifting from the original black-on-grey to two shades of grey. The sneaker retains the black Nike Air heel branding, while the red and blue collar features a slightly adjusted texture. Though details remain scarce, it appears that the South Korean flag is visible on the tongue of at least one shoe. It’s still unclear whether the interior tags will again feature Hangeul detailing.
The “Seoul 2.0” colorway was further previewed when BTS member J-Hope wore it during the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors game. His appearance gave fans a better view of the sneaker, which sports a more off-white upper compared to the original white. The left shoe also prominently displays the South Korean flag. The official release is still set for May 15, 2025, via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, with a price tag of $200 USD.
