Patta and Nike are continuing to push the boundaries of collaborative sneaker design with their latest project — a fresh take on the recently introduced Nike Air Max DN8. The dynamic partnership between the Amsterdam-based streetwear label and the global sportswear giant has already produced several acclaimed silhouettes, including the “Wave” series of Air Max 90s. Now, co-founder Edson “Barbapapa” Sabajo has offered a first look at the duo’s newest venture via his Instagram, giving fans an early glimpse at what to expect from the Patta x Nike Air Max DN8.

The Air Max DN8, which debuted earlier in 2025, showcases Nike’s newest innovation in cushioning: Dynamic Air. The sneaker features eight pressurized air tubes extending along the footbed, engineered to enhance motion, comfort, and responsiveness. Patta’s reinterpretation of the silhouette transforms it into something more elevated and fashion-forward, without compromising performance. The design is dominated by glossy black patent leather on the upper and tongue, which adds a premium touch, while the mid panels are constructed with breathable grey mesh to maintain airflow and texture balance. The toebox deviates from the typical mesh setup, opting instead for perforated leather — a subtle but deliberate choice that highlights Patta’s attention to quality and detail.

Further distinguishing this pair are understated but thoughtful branding accents. A Patta-branded carabiner is attached to the laces, hinting at an outdoor or utilitarian inspiration. The midsole, built with Nike’s signature Max Air cushioning system, features a sleek two-tone black and silver color scheme, enhancing the sneaker’s bold and futuristic aesthetic. A blue nylon lace loop adds a final pop of contrast against the otherwise dark palette. While a full story or official release date has not been shared by either brand, Sabajo’s teaser makes it clear that the Patta x Nike Air Max DN8 will be launching later this year, likely before the end of 2025.
