Obtaining ideas from the industrial settings used as clubs and events.

The latest partnership between New Balance and Stone Island is being unveiled under the Made in UK banner as the two companies get ready to debut the brand-new 991v2 model.

Most recently, New Balance and Stone Island launched the FuelCell C_1 and the 574 silhouettes, which were first teased by UK rap musician Dave. These releases were among the most anticipated footwear collaborations on the market.

The 991v2, however, adopts an olive, grey, and black colour scheme, a colour combination inspired by the industrial spaces that doubled as venues and clubs, from the regular runways of trains to pubs, and terraces. This latest design by the duo appears to be the most subtle one yet.

The sneaker also boasts a mesh upper that is modelled like latticed metal, nubuck-coated, texturized leather foxing, and numerous reflective accents that further emphasise the idea of an industrial area. The design is completed with the customary co-branding, which features Stone Island's Compass emblem on the tongue and the lateral sides of the shoe with New Balance's iconic "N" motif.

The co-branded and custom-packaged Stone Island x New Balance Made in UK 991v2 collaboration, which you can see in more detail above, will be sold only on the official Stone Island website and in specific Stone Island stores starting on October 4.

On October 9, the collaboration will also be accessible in China at a few Stone Island locations and through WeChat Store. On October 18, it will be accessible worldwide on the official New Balance website.
