Charli XCX’s Converse collaboration brings a bold ‘brat’ twist to custom Chuck Taylors.

It’s a special “party 4 u.”

Charli XCX kept Brat Summer alive with a Converse collaboration that gave full creative control to her fans — known as Charli’s Angels. Named the Custom Chuck Taylor All Star Charli XCX By You, the unisex high-top was part of Converse’s “By You” customization platform, giving fans a limited three-day window to design their own pair inspired by the chaos and charm of the Brat era.

Rather than offering a pre-made design, the release focused on personalization. Fans were able to choose from five curated base colors — “Black,” “White,” “Brown Rice,” “Winter Sky,” and “Bridal Rose.” Each pair featured trompe-l’œil distressing: printed rips, faded discoloration, and tour-worn laces, capturing a lived-in, emotionally raw, bratty aesthetic.

Customization extended to heel license plates and interchangeable patches referencing fan-favorite lyrics and themes like “XCX,” “365,” “Angel,” and “Party Girl.” Outsole graphics featured hidden brat or Party Girl prints, while lock-and-key heel charms etched with “Brat” and lime-green insoles paid homage to her signature color story and “Unlock It” era.

The end result was a sneaker as layered and expressive as Charli herself — punk in attitude and pop in form. The exclusive drop launched on August 5 via the Converse website, priced at $100 USD.
