The alternate gold-and-grey colorway surfaced amid recent reports surrounding the closure of Trophy Room founder Marcus Jordan’s physical retail store.

As Marcus Jordan transitioned Trophy Room to an online-only operation, an unreleased Trophy Room x Air Jordan 4 sample surfaced, offering a rare look into the brand’s early design concepts. The alternate version featured a premium grey suede upper accented by bold gold details, while black elements on the midsole, wings, and heel tab created a sleeker and more understated appearance.

Unlike the final retail release, this sample showcased a different approach to color blocking and has drawn comparisons to the later-released “Royalty” Air Jordan 4. Considered a piece of Trophy Room history, the sneaker was reportedly never intended for public release, making it a rare glimpse into a collaboration that remained behind the scenes.
