Albino & Preto, atmos, and ASICS Brought Volt-Inspired Energy to the GEL-Kayano 12.1

The collaborative GEL-Kayano 12.1 combined skate-inspired design with bold Volt accents and distinctive detailing.

Albino & Preto, ASICS, and atmos teamed up for a three-way collaboration centered around the GEL-Kayano 12.1, giving the retro-inspired runner a more athletic and performance-driven character. Taking cues from ASICS’ Volt colorway, the collaboration embraced a vibrant palette designed to capture the energy of sport.

The footwear came in two colorways that followed the same design direction. Fluorescent accents delivered the collection’s signature high-visibility look, while reflective overlays added a technical element to the upper. Beneath the bold styling, ASICS’ signature GEL cushioning provided the support and comfort associated with the GEL-Kayano series.

The sneakers were accompanied by a coordinated mesh apparel set created by A&P and atmos. Featuring performance mesh shorts and a matching polo, the lightweight kit was designed with breathability and freedom of movement in mind. Its versatile design made it suitable for activities ranging from no-gi jiu-jitsu and soccer to more casual everyday outings.

The Albino & Preto x atmos x ASICS collection was released at JJCON on September 4, followed by an online launch on September 5 exclusively through A&P’s online store. The accompanying apparel collection was offered exclusively in the US.
